Filter Bag Materials:
FELT is made from synthetic fibers in polyester, polypropylene, polyamide and nomex. It gives good depth filtration and solids holding capacity. Polyester and polypropylene felt bags are available with a glazed finish to reduce fiber migration.
MONOFILAMENT MESH is a woven material. Each thread is a single filament. The openings are square. They have excellent strength and are cleanable. These filter bags are in the medium to high cost range.
MULTIFILAMENT MESH materials are woven from threads made of small fibers twisted together. Bags made from these material are low cost and are disposable.
MICROFIBER polyester & polypropylene high efficiencies at low micron ratings. The polypropylene also has oil absorbing characteristics.
